Michel Roncerel was a French artist who, besides creating, served as president of the Société des Peintres Graveurs Français
His abstract prints are a combination of mezzotint, pointe seches and mixed techniques
Most of his prints are exclusively created for the fine press books which were published by Manière Noir, the press he ran together with his wife Monique, the typographer of this press
Each book Manière Noir published was a “coming together” of the poet, the artist, the typographer and the binder
Books edited by Manière Noir are included in museum collections in Europe
